Because of her eczema, Yosmi avoids hot showers and anything with fragrance— two triggers that cause flare-ups, which can lead to skin discoloration. “As a model, I have to constantly make sure my skin looks good,” Yosmi says. “There have been times when I’ve had a big shoot, and I suddenly got a rash on my face. It can be very frustrating and embarrassing.”

Yosmi turns to gentle and trusted brands to help her maintain her skin health. Aveeno, one of her favorites, has been a mainstay in her routine for years. “I’ve used Aveeno products since I was a kid, and they work wonders,” she says. One of her favorites is the Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub, which contains ingredients like jojoba and castor oils that leave the skin feeling supple. “It’s very difficult to find a scrub that gently exfoliates eczema-prone skin, but this one leaves my face feeling so soft without any irritation.”

To target dry skin, Yosmi uses Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel. It’s oil-free and formulated with hyaluronic acid, which quenches dry, sensitive skin without clogging pores. “In the past when I’ve used gel-like products, they’ve made my skin feel sticky afterwards,” Yosmi says, “but that’s not the case with this product. The gel dries fast and leaves me feeling soft and moisturized. I am obsessed!”

After cleansing and moisturizing, Yosmi likes to apply a vitamin C serum. Her go-to is the Kylie Skin Vitamin C Serum, which contains camellia oleifera leaf and is paraben-, fragrance-, and sulfate-free. “I am a huge fan of the brand and this serum,” she says. “It’s helped fade my hyperpigmentation and discoloration, and I love that it doesn’t have a scent. My skin feels brand new after using it!”

For Yosmi, keeping up with her gentle and hydrating routine helps her feel more confident on and off the job. “When my skin looks good, I feel good,” she says. “Makeup goes on smoother, and I don’t have to worry about how I’ll look for a photoshoot.”
